The Purpose
The purpose of this course is to create a space for deeper concentration for the participants and help them achieve their goals at work and studies through joy. There is a tendency in many of us to feel the work or studies as burden but when we touch the 'flow' state in work or studies through deeper concentration, we can feel the inner joy, fulfilment and even timelessness. This naturally helps us enjoy our work, be more creative at our projects and finish the tasks quicker than our normal speed. When we come together collectively to concentrate on our work, it becomes easier to reach the 'flow' state.
Flow state is the focused mental state in which a person performing some activity is fully immersed in a feeling of energized focus, full involvement, and enjoyment in the process of the activity. Flow is the melting together of action and consciousness. The name 'Flow' was coined by the psychologist Mihály.

About the Facilitator
Raamkumar is a PhD researcher at IIT Madras. Driven by an inner quest to balance daily life and work, he experimented with different ways to accomplish the work goals without feeling work as a burden. He found 'Deep Focus Sessions' to be an impactful method to taste the joy in work and also experience a deep fulfilment in work and life.
Now, with an aspiration to spread this joy, he holds a collective space for Deep Focus Sessions. Apart from this, he also facilitates spaces for self-acceptance and safe transformation circles for men.
